In early 1994, I met a 27-year-old woman who lived with fear on a daily basis. Her outward appearance was well-groomed, with the exception of her hands being red raw and maceated.
Others may know what Anxiety is but are uncertain about how to deal with and overcome it. It can be challenging to understand what someone living with Anxiety feels like, both physically and psychologically.
Once I was able to obtain appropriate professional help, I realized how fortunate and blessed I was to have Dr. Rowan, who is known as an expert in the field of Anxiety and has trained with many pioneers, best-selling authors, and experts in Anxiety literature.
But through the process, I realized I was not alone in the world of Anxiety. Many others experienced similar if not identical types of Anxiety, and finding this shared experience brought comfort and support.
Once considered rare, Anxiety is now becoming more widely acknowledged, with statistics showing that approximately seven million individuals in North America alone live with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, that is only one form of Anxiety Disorder. Additionally, it is not uncommon for people with Anxiety to experience co-occurring disorders such as Depression.
